Dear poets, artists and our most esteemed readers,
The Plebian Rag wishes you all a Merry Christmas, or a Happy Holiday Season for those of you who can’t bear to say the word Christ in Christmas! We love you all!
February 2009 marked the launch of our online literary magazine, and we have had a rockin’ good time reading and reviewing the 1000’s of submissions from ya’ll. We must say that we are very pleased with how things have come together, with the publication of our first print magazine, “Into the Sphere” and the launch of our new publishing arm, 2009 was a very productive year! Yesterday we were practically floored when we checked the stats for visits to the site, with over 800k visits to the site we were shocked to say the least, never did we dream that an overnight vision would take on such a vital life form, and to this we thank each and every one of you that support the magazine.
2010 is fast approaching and we are looking forward to even bigger year, wait we must say twenty-ten cause it sounds so futuristic, yea that’s the ticket! With the new year we will be rolling out new ideas, new opportunities and some sweet Plebian Rag gear, yea we said gear for your shrouded husks!
Forthcoming in the first quarter of twenty-ten our second issue print magazine will be published and it will be packed with art, interviews, music reviews, announcements of our published book authors and a magazine presentation that will be one to behold under the light of the bright star that will shine down on all of you tonight on the eve of the birth of our Jesus Christ who has bestowed upon you all your gifts you so humbly share with the world!
So tonight as us parents get ready for the big day tomorrow when we present our perfectly hidden lie in the guise of sour milk and wal-mart cookies (man do they taste dry!) lets all take a moment to thank our friends and family and to pray for the families who are struggling in these chaotic times in this good ole’ US of A. Lets all commit to do what we can to help out fellow man in twenty-ten, for this is the right thing to do and your rewards will be abundant.
I think it’s time to wrap up this letter before it spins out of control and confuses the point of this season and our thanks for all our gifts we receive every day of our lives. BUT—I must share with you a very interesting story by William Burroughs; “A Junkie Christmas” don’t be shy hit that play button and be prepared to take a ride down insanity lane, afterall what would you expect from one of the most intelligent, wasted minds of the previous century. Without further adieu lets get to it!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
