The Plebian Rag is an online/print magazine which presents a collective of voices who have one mission: to create literature/art that will reshape the social landscape which has become a virtual cesspool of mass marketed conformists, to bolster an effect that will cause a shift in the social conscience for a better world. Plebian writers will either make you love them or hate them, and if the latter applies to you then, hey at least we tried.
We will publish a print magazine semi-annually and will choose from the writers that made it through the approval process, there is no payment for publication of poetry/stories/artwork and the creator holds exclusive copyright to their work. The Plebian Rag will hold one printing right to include publication in the online magazine, we will not edit any published work on the site, keep in mind we strive for excellence in publication and may edit the format of your work without changing the overall theme/meaning.
We accept poetry, fictional short stories, letters, and visual arts along with performance spoken word poetry videos, (if you submit a video or art please email us the link for the YouTube video and attach your artwork in jpeg) at this time we will not be accepting stand alone audio recordings but may consider this in the future.
The magazine is based out of Dallas, Georgia and has an unpaid staff of editors and staff writers that may contribute one piece of work to be published on the site a month.
